This document retrieval support processing method includes steps of: calculating distance from a viewpoint position to a first virtual one-dimensional space or a first virtual plane for arranging simplified display data of a document based on viewpoint positional information when a distribution display request of the document including the viewpoint positional information is accepted from a user; specifying a display data item to be displayed among a plurality of data items based on the distance and a predetermined rule; extracting data for the display data item to be displayed from a document data storage part to generate the simplified display data for the document to be displayed; and generating distributed display data in which the simplified display data for the document to be displayed is arranged on a second virtual one-dimensional space or a second virtual plane based on a value about the data item constituting the first virtual one-dimensional space or the first virtual plane among the plurality of data items to store the distributed display data in a storage device. Consequently, the document is easily checked.
