Abstract:
To normally discharge documents loaded on a discharge tray regardless of an amount of the documents .SOLUTION: A document conveyance apparatus 9 comprises a swing mechanism 37 that has a swing shaft 71 using a width direction of documents intersecting a conveyance direction as an axial direction at its upstream end part in the conveyance direction of a discharge path 65 and swings a discharge mechanism 36 around the swing shaft 71, a lifting mechanism that raises and lowers a paper feed tray 44 such that an upper surface of the documents loaded on the paper feed tray 44 is pressed against a delivery roller 51, an upper surface height measurement section 19 that is provided above a position of a discharge port 70 in an upper limit of a swingable range of the discharge mechanism 36 and measures a height of an upper surface of the documents loaded on a discharge tray 43, and a control unit that performs control such that a head difference between the discharge port 70 and the upper surface of the documents loaded on the discharge tray 43 is within a predetermined range when the swing mechanism 37 swings the discharge mechanism 36 depending on the height measured by the upper surface height measurement section 19.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
