Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a doffing device and a yarn winding machine capable of suppressing deterioration in the quality of a package and reducing workload of a worker when abnormality occurs in a doffing mechanism.SOLUTION: A doffing device 60 comprises: a doffing mechanism 61 where a support part 65 for supporting a package 45, which is formed by winding yarn on a bobbin 48, is arranged movably among a first position P1 for receiving the package, a second position P2 for delivering the package received at the first position and a standby position P0 which does not come into contact with the package delivered at the second position; and a control unit 31 for controlling the movement of the support part in the doffing mechanism. The control unit performs control to stop the movement of the support part and return the support part to the standby position when it determines that abnormality has occurred in the doffing mechanism while moving the support part from the standby position to the first position.
