Abstract:
To provide a dome structure capable of ensuring stability in an unexpected vertical motion earthquake.SOLUTION: A dome 10 includes a tension ring body 16 supported by a structure 14, a compression ring body 18 provided above and inside the tension ring body 16, a plurality of beam members 20 extending obliquely upward and inward from the tension ring body 16 and connected to the compression ring body 18, and a tension control section 24 for controlling the tensile force acting on the tension ring body 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
