PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To temporally increase resistance in a connection part between a motor sub unit and a spindle by transition fitting the fitting of a ring member without performing addition or change to constituent components, and to surely stop a back door at a fully open position and at a position in the middle of the fully open position and a fully closed position.SOLUTION: In a door opening/closing device 11 for a vehicle including a support member 10 which can hold an open position of a vehicle door 3, the support member 10 includes: a first housing 21; a second housing 22 capable of changing extension/contraction length of the support member 10 by relatively moving in an axial direction with respect to the first housing 21; a spindle 25 inserted in the first housing 21 and the second housing 22; a stopper member 34 for supporting the spindle 25 rotatably; and a holding power adjustment mechanism 24 capable of adjusting a holding power for holding the open position of the vehicle door 3. The holding power adjustment mechanism 24 adjusts the holding power by changing a deflection amount of a ring member 33 which is transit fitted in an inner periphery of the stopper member 34.
