PURPOSE: To provide possibility of making surface adjustment of a door hinge in the direction fore and aft in addition to vertical adjustment and crosswise adjustment.

CONSTITUTION: A surface adjusting mechanism is installed on a door hinge which is furnished with a vertical adjusting screw 15 and crosswise adjusting screw 25. A door 1 and a door frame 2 are coupled together by an adjusting base 3, adjusting block 5, and body 6 of hinge. One of the hinge plates 8 is installed on the adjusting block 5 provisionally, and an upper and a lower surface adjusting screw 43 are screwed into the adjusting block 5. The engagement position of hinge plate 6 is adjusted fore and aft bar increasing or decreasing the screw-in amount of the surface adjusting screws 43, and thus the surface adjustment takes place.
