To improve the operability of a door lock device for a vehicle by quickly returning each operating member to each original position after the operation of a releaser mechanism and a closer mechanism.
When an electric motor rotates normally, a researcher side drive pin 88 is engaged with a releaser side drive cam 85, causing the releaser mechanism to operate and a closer side drive cam 95 to rotate idly. After the releaser mechanism is operated, a releaser side disengagement rib 92 releases the engagement of the releaser side drive pin 88 with the releaser side drive cam 85, causing a releaser side spool 86 to return to an original position. Reversely, when the electric motor rotates reversely, the closer side drive pin 98 is engaged with the closer side drive cam 95, causing the closer mechanism to operate and the releaser side drive cam 85 to rotate idly. After the closer mechanism is operated, the closer side disengagement rib 102 releases the engagement of the closer side drive pin 98 with the closer side drive cam 95, causing a closer side spool 96 to return to the original position.
