To provide a door lock device which can surely and smoothly perform the operation of closing and locking a door with a simple structure.

A door lock device includes an operation part 24 mounted to a door 18, and a fixing part 26 mounted to a peripheral edge 20 of a window 16. The operation part 24 includes a body member 28 fixed to an opening/closing end 18a of the door 18, an operation handle 30 mounted to the body member 28 through a shaft member 34, and an engaging member 32 having an engaging pawl 42 rotated according to the rotation of the operation handle 30. The body member 28 has a slit 36. The fixing part 26 is provided with a cylindrical engagement receiving part 48. When the door 18 is closed, the inside of the slit 36 is guided by and slides on the side surface of the cylindrical engagement receiving part 48, and the engaging member 32 approaches the cylindrical engagement receiving part 48. The cylindrical engagement receiving part 48 is inserted inside the engaging pawl 42 by a lock operation to draw a rotating shaft of the engaging member 32 to the cylindrical engagement receiving part 48.
