To provide a door lock operating device which can positively prevent a locking mechanism from being operated when an excessive operating force is applied to an unauthentic key inserted into a key insertion hole, and can minimize a mechanical strength that a key should have.
According to the structure of the door lock operating device 10, when an authentic key is inserted into the key insertion hole 70 formed in a rotor 38, a rotor block 108, an inner block 110, and an outer block 112 cooperatively inhibit an outer sleeve 34 from rotating, and allows an inner sleeve 36 to rotate. Therefore at the time of operation of a door knob of a vehicle, upon transmission of an operating force F via a first link member to a link lever 54, the link lever 54 is rotated about a connection shaft 50 of the outer sleeve 34. Thus, a second link member transmits the operating force in an unlocking direction to the locking mechanism, and therefore the locking mechanism is operated from a locking state to an unlocking state by the operating force.
