To provide an opening/closing door of a machine tool, which can prevent the failure of operation thereof caused by chips, by removing the chips by using fluid flowing from a pipe.
The opening/closing door 1 has a rotating shaft formed of the pipe 3 which has openings 4 such as holes bored therein. Then the pipe 3 is fed with a coolant from a coolant feeding section. The coolant overflows the openings 4 to flow on a surface of the pipe 3, to thereby wash out chips adhering to the pipe or chips which are about to adhere to the same. In this manner an inconvenience of infiltration of chips onto a sliding surface between a guide 2 of the opening/closing door 1 and the pipe 3 of the rotating shaft to cause the failure of rotational operation of the opening/closing door 1 can be eliminated.
