Abstract:
PURPOSE: To ensure safety at the time of opening a front door to perform tool changing work or the like in a machine tool provided with the front door at a body cover.
CONSTITUTION: There are provided a door opening detector 24 for detecting the opening of the door 11 of the body cover 10 of a machine tool, and a power cut-off means 30 to form a door open time safety device. The power cut-off means 30 cuts off the switches 31x-35sp such as electromagnetic contactors interposed in the power circuit 29 of shaft motors 31-35 in response to the detection signal of the door opening detector 24.
