Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a door opening mechanism which always allows properly opening and closing a door of a container such as a vacuum or pressure vessel on which a differential pressure is exerted, by a method wherein when an actuator is operated to shut the door, the door is moved nearly vertically by a cam follower and a guide rail and turned on a hinge.
CONSTITUTION: When an operating rod 74a is contracted by an opening cylinder 74 with an intermediate door 5 in the closed position, a cam follower begins to move to the terminal point from the start point of a guide rail 72 by a link member 74b. At the same time, a slot 70a of a bar 70 protruding from the intermediate door 5 slides along a pin 73a, so that the bar 70 and the intermediate door 5 move nearly vertically, leaving a bulkhead 4. When the cam follower 71 begins to go down generating an arc, the intermediate door 5 rotates together, turns to a nearly vertical posture from the original posture and is retracted under a floor, exposing an opening 4a formed in the bulkhead 4.
