In a door opening position maintaining device maintained by locking to the side walls 2a of a closed deck 2 when the doors 3 of the closed deck 2 are opened, locking members 11 provided on the outer surface of the doors 3, locking mechanisms 12 which are provided to the side walls 2a of the closed deck 2, and hold the doors 3 at the door opening positions by engaging with the locking members 11 when the doors 3 are opened, and releasing mechanisms 13 whose operating ends 24 are provided near the door opening and closing positions of the doors 3 of the closed deck 2, the operating ends are connected to the locking mechanisms 12, and release the engagement of the locking mechanisms 12 and the locking members 11 by operating the operating ends 24, are provided.
