To prevent a ribbon form becoming short-lived due to the concentration of dots on a specific spot on the ribbon.
A lever 6 is connected to a ribbon guide 8 which is movable in the width direction of a ribbon, and a roller 11 installed on the lever 6 is constantly pressed against a rail 13 by a coil spring 12. The rail 13 extends in a direction in which a carriage 2 moves, and is fixed to a left side frame 5, while it is supported, in a freely rotatable manner, on the right side frame side. In addition, when the carriage 2 is moved to the right side frame side, the rail 13 sags by the force of the coil spring 12, resulting in the rotation of the lever 6 by the amount of this sag. Consequently, the position of the ribbon is deviated by moving the ribbon guide 8 horizontally.
