Abstract:
To obtain a dot line printer comprising means for regulating tension of an endless ink ribbon in which tension is set at a level optimal for variation of the printer.
An auxiliary brake also serving as a ribbon guide is disposed between a main brake and a hammer mechanism section and tension of an endless ink ribbon in the traveling direction is regulated in the direction perpendicular to the horizontal plane in order to control frictional force with respect to the endless ink ribbon thus regulating brake force.
