Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-action pump for molten metal which has comparatively simple structure and is advantageous in the cost and the maintenance and further, can prevent the backward flow of the molten metal.
SOLUTION: The double-action pump 30 for molten metal is provided with an upper molten metal chamber 51, a piston sliding chamber 31 and a range 50 filled with the molten metal. In the upper wall 31u of the piston sliding chamber 31, an upper seal hole 31b is arranged, and in the lower wall 31d, a lower seal hole 31a is arranged. In the upper wall 31u, an upper spouting opening part 47b and an upper spouting passage 37b are arranged, and in the lower wall 31d, a lower spouting opening part 47b and a lower spouting passage 37a are arranged. In the piston sliding chamber 31, an opening/closing rod 40 extended by slidingly penetrating a piston 32 between the upper spouting opening part 47b and the lower spouting opening part 47a, is disposed. The opening/ closing rod 40 alternately opens and closes to the upper spouting opening part 47b and the lower spouting opening part 47a by the action of an opening/closing actuator 42.
