Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly notify a user about the amount of double fed sheets without viewing a paper-discharge tray or the like.SOLUTION: By means of a function of a microcomputer constituting a control unit 5 of an image forming apparatus, a total fed sheet counting unit 101 counts the number of times of detection of sheet conveyance by using sheet detection signals from a sheet detection sensor, and a double-feed occurrence counting unit 102 counts the number of times of double-feed of sheets by using a double-feed detection signal from a double-feed detection sensor. On the basis of the count value of the total fed sheet counting unit 101 and a count value of the double-feed occurrence counting unit 102, a double-feed occurrence rate calculation unit 103 calculates a double-feed occurrence rate. A display control unit 104 causes a double-feed occurrence rate display data creation unit 105 to create double-feed occurrence rate display data, and displays the double-feed occurrence rate as information on double-feed occurrence frequency on a display unit 61 of an operation panel, for notification.
