PURPOSE: To prevent double taking-in of long veneers held by a sucker tube by forming bends at the ends of each veneer to be sucked up directed upward and by letting air blow in from a nozzle arranged beside the sucker tube.

CONSTITUTION: A sucker unit is sunk by a driver cylinder 1 to allow a sucker tube 5 to hold a veneer 8. Even though another veneer 8 or veneers are lifted up together with the veneer 8 held by the sucker tube 5 as designed when this driver cylinder 1 elevates the sucker unit, the sucker tube 5 situated in the middle of the undersurface of air chamber 6 is protruded by the force of a spring to deflect the veneer and, at the same time, air blows in from a nozzle 3, so that the extra veneer of veneers attaching below are released off.
