Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double mechanical seal device capable of easily pressing each of rotary seal rings to each of stationary seal rings even when an outer diameter of a rotating shaft is large, and having excellent sealability.SOLUTION: An intermediate ring 80 rotating with a rotating shaft 2 and moving also in an axial direction together, is disposed on an outer periphery of the rotating shaft 2 positioned in an intermediate chamber 70. A plurality of through holes 82 for springs penetrating in an axial direction are formed on the intermediate ring 80 along a circumferential direction. Springs 86 are mounted along the axial direction in the through holes 82 for springs, one end of each spring 86 is constituted to press the first rotary seal ring 31 to the first stationary seal ring 41, and the other end of the spring 86 is constituted to press the second rotary seal ring 51 to the second stationary seal ring 61.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
