PURPOSE: To improve sealing quality of a compressive space by installing ring- shaped seal guard at respective end plates of the first and second scrolls, and forming oil holes between the seal guard and a seal ring.

CONSTITUTION: Seal rings 73a, 73b are engaged respectively with ring-shaped grooves 65a, 67a in a main frame 65 and an auxiliary frame 67, and on its outside, ring-shaped seal guards 74a, 74b are installed at end plates 56, 61 to form oil through holes 56a, 61a in the end plates 56, 61 between the seal guards 74a, 74b and the seal rings 73a, 73b. Oil in an enclosed container 51 flown in from the oil holes 65a, 67a and leaks from the high pressure side to the low pressure side through a clearance between the seal guards 73a, 73b and the end plates 56, 61, and then gathers in a ring-shaped space between the seal guards 74a, 74b to improve sealing quality between a high pressure chamber and a low pressure chamber. Moreover, a part of the oil flows from the peripheries of the end plates 56, 61 to a compressive space 69, so it is possible to improve the sealing quality of the compressive space.
