To properly print without causing image defects even when printing an image by reversing the image.
A double-sided stencil printer includes: an image reading part 2 for sequentially reading image data from the top side of an original; a RAM 12 for sequentially storing the surface image data from the top side in the order of being read while sequentially storing the rear-surface image data from the top side in the order of being read; a plate-making part 6 that makes a plate of stencil paper G, which is to be wound around a first drum 41, on the basis of the surface image data stored in the RAM 12, and also, makes a plate of stencil paper G, which is to be wound around a second drum 51, on the basis of the rear-surface image data stored in the RAM 12; and a plate-making control part 20b that reverses the top and bottom by sequentially reading out the surface image data from the bottom side from in the RAM 12 after the surface image data, to which reversal of the top and bottom is requested, are stored in the RAM 12 on the basis of external input and allows the plate-making part 6 to make a plate on the basis of the surface image data whose top and bottom are reversed.
