This double-sided stencil printer includes a front face image data storage section 12a storing front face image data for printing the front face of printing paper W; a rear face image data storage section 12b storing rear face image data for printing the rear face of the printing paper W; a platemaking section 6 carrying out platemaking of first stencil paper to be wound around a first drum 41 based on the front face image data and platemaking of second stencil paper to be wound around a second drum 51 based on the rear face image data; an image reversing section 20c reversing the top and bottom of the rear face image data stored in the rear face image data storage section 12b when switching of long-side binding or short-side binding is requested based on the user's operation; and a platemaking processing section 20b allowing the platemaking section 6 to carry out platemaking of the second stencil paper.
