To effectively prevent thumb-turn movement in a double sliding door locking device which consists of an inside lock and an outside lock and which is mounted in the mating part of a double sliding door consisting of an inside door and an outside door.
The outside lock 2 has lock pieces 7, 8 to be rotated with key operation and forced into the inside lock 4. The inside lock 4 has a main slider 9, a locking lever 10, a movable member 22, and a thumb-lock slider 25. The main slider 9 is slid by the lock pieces 7, 8. The locking lever 10 is rotated by the main slider 9 and forced into the outside lock 2 for locking operation. The movable member 22 is held by a vertically movable knob 12a and movable in the direction of the thickness of the inside door 3, and its front end 22a is disengageable from the main slider 9. The thumb-lock slider 25 moves the movable member 22 to the base end with the operation of an inside key detachably provided on the inside lock 4 to cancel the engagement of the movable member 22 with the main slider 9.
