This doubly covered elastic yarn is composed of a core yarn and a sheath yarn and a polyester-based conjugate fiber which is a side-by-side type or eccentric sheath-core type polyester-based conjugate fiber in which either one of the components contains polyethylene terephthalate as a main component and the other contains polytrimethylene terephthalate as a main component is used as the core yarn and the sheath yarn is constituted of a first twist yarn and a final twist yarn, and other fiber is used as the final twist yarn and the polyester conjugate fiber is used as the first twist yarn.
