Abstract:

To provide a DPF regeneration device of an internal combustion engine, which raises the temperature in an exhaust gas system by increasing the load of the internal combustion engine when regenerating a DPF in spite of simple construction.

The DPF regeneration device of an internal combustion engine is provided with the DPF 40 installed in an exhaust pipe 34 of the internal combustion engine 10 to collect a fine particle in the exhaust gas, a regeneration processing means (ECU 50) to regenerate the DPF, and a second fuel pump 22 installed in a fuel supply passage 16 from a fuel tank 12 to a fuel injection valve 14 to supply fuel stored in the fuel tank 12 into the fuel injection valve 14. When the DPF 40 is regenerated, the second pump 22 is increased in load, more specifically, the second fuel pump 22 is increased in load so that the internal combustion engine 10 is increased in load.
