Abstract:
To provide a technology preventing an unexpected outflow from a drainage gutter draining cooling water flowing down from an outer wall and enabling operation further improved in safety, when cooling the outer wall of a metal refining furnace on which a thermal load is applied.SOLUTION: A drainage gutter cover is attached to a drainage gutter 51 of cooling water provided on an outer wall 5w of a metal refining furnace 5. The drainage gutter cover is equipped with a body portion 11 that is made from a square platy body having an upper surface 11a and a lower surface 11b, a folded side portion 12 made by folding back one side of the body portion 11 to the upper surface 11a side at a predetermined angle, and a locking portion 14 projecting in a generally vertical direction to the lower surface 11b. In the drainage gutter 51, a plurality of reinforcing ribs 52 tilted diagonally downward from the outer wall 5w of the metal refining furnace 5 and connected to a receiving end portion 51r of the drainage gutter 51, is provided at predetermined intervals. The drainage gutter cover 1 is placed on the two or more reinforcing ribs 52, and is attached by locking the locking portion 14 to a groove portion 52g provided in the reinforcing rib 52.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
