To enhance the accuracy of an installation of a washing machine and prevent an occurrence of a poor drainage or the like.
The washing machine includes: an underframe 11 that supports an outer case 1 at the bottom; a water tub 2 that contains a washing and draining tub 4 rotatably supported through a shaft and that is elastically supported in the outer case 1; a drain valve 13 that is connected to the bottom of the water tub 2; an in-machine hose 14 that is connected to the drain valve 13 and drains washing water in the water tub 2; a drain pipe 12 that is connected to the in-machine hose 14 and is provided in a substantially center of the back surface side of the washing machine of the underframe 11; and a drain hose 15 that is connected to the drain pipe 12. On the drain hose 15, an L-shaped insertion part 17 that is bent substantially perpendicularly is formed for being inserted to the drain pipe 12 and a hard ring-like protective member 16 having rigidity is attached to a position opposite to the back surface side of the washing machine of the underframe 11. Thus, when installing the washing machine, it is possible to prevent the drain hose from being folded and deformed, and it is possible to make an installer recognize that the drain hose is pinched by an inclination of the product. Therefore, prevention of an occurrence of a poor drainage and an accurate installation can be realized.
