To develop a drawer for a roll such as a cable, applicable to a disordered roll independently of its size and convenient in carriage with a foldable device.
The drawer for the roll comprises a rotation supporting bar 22 provided with a rotating shaft 21 axially mounted on a bearing and arranged on a base 10 with the bearing 12, a rotating frame 23 provided on the rotation supporting bar 22 for allowing the cable or the like to be placed thereon, a core rod 31 arranged on the rotating frame 23 in such a manner as to freely rise and fall using a sliding sheath 33 with a fastening screw 34, and a bendable upper hold-down frame 35 formed at the tip of the core rod 31. The upper hold-down frame 35 is desirably formed with a front bar 36 and a rear bar 37 to be bendable by carrying a sheath pipe 38 between the front bar 36 and the rear bar 37 and energizing the sheath pipe to one of them with a spring 39.
