PURPOSE: To position the floating body easily by forming a longitudinal drawing- near groove with a connecting section and a groove for positioning in the lateral direction, both side walls thereof are askew shaped, to the floating body and mounting a drawing-near arm and a connecting projection corresponding to each groove at the dry dock side.
CONSTITUTION: When the floating body 3 is drawn near and positioned to the dry dock 1 such as a caisson yard, the longitudinal drawing-near groove 65 with the connecting section 68 and the groove 64 for positioning in the lateral direction, both side walls thereof are askew shaped, are formed to the floating body 3. On the other hand, the drawing-near arm 67, which enters into the drawing-near groove 65, is connected to the connecting section 68 and is movable fore and aft, and the projection 66 for positioning in the lateral direction in which a convex section corresponding to the inclines is shaped are mounted in response to each groove 64, 65 at the dry dock 1 side. The drawing-near arm 67 is connected into the drawing-near groove 65 while the floating body 3 being carried by means of a push boat, etc. from the offing is guided by means of the projection 66 for positioning in the lateral direction and the groove 64, and the floating body is finally positioned.
