Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce air pollution in no need of steam at a low cost in a paper drier.
SOLUTION: The jacket 38 is formed on the drum 10 of which the outer surface comes into contact with the paper to be dried in the form of a spiral pipe through which the oil as a heat medium is passed. The oil, as a heat medium, is allowed to flow from the inlet 38A of the jacket 38 toward the outlet 38B to heat the drum 10 and the paper is dried by coming into contact with the drum 10. The oil is heated at a prescribed temperature by a heater 60 that heats the oil through the heat exchange between the combustion gas and the oil.
