PURPOSE: To make the retention time in a purified water storage tank as short as possible and to prevent the deterioration of water by comparing the data detected in the storage tank and the water level data based on the variation in amt. of drinking water used at the point of use with time and controlling the water level in the tank so that both data coincide with one another.
CONSTITUTION: When purified water is stored in a water storage tank 5, the water level is detected by a water level detecting means 8, and the detected data are outputted to a water level control means 10. Meanwhile, the water level data based on the variation in amt. of water used at the point of use with time are outputted to the control means 10 from a water level information storage means 9. The data are compared by the control means 10, the supply of water to the tank 5 is controlled, and the purified water level in the tank 5 is controlled to the water level stored in the storage means 9. Since the purified water level in the tank 5 is controlled to the water level stored in the storage means 9 in this way, the retention time of purified water in the tank 5 is reduced.
