Title:
DRIVE CIRCUIT FOR MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000236684
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To prevent breakdown of source-side transistors, when a motor is braked.

This motor is constituted such that when a brushless motor in forward rotation course is made to rotate in the reverse direction, source-side and sink-side transistors for causing a negatively directed drive current for flowing are turned on and off periodically on the basis of the oscillation frequency of an oscillator 13, when the terminal-to-terminal voltage of a current detecting resistor 10 is in a range higher than a reference voltage Vref, and the motor is always turned on, when the terminal-to-terminal voltage of the detecting resistor 10 is lowered down to a value lower than the reference voltage Vref. Consequently, it becomes possible to prevent the breakdown of the source- side transistors to be used due to a large current, when the motor is rotated in the reverse direction.
