PURPOSE: To provide control of a drive force to the optimum value at which no defective acceleration may occur by adding a correction amount, by which compensation for an amount equivalent to the decrease of a drive force owing to cornering resistance during turning, to a target slip amount used for traction control (control of reduction of a drive force).
CONSTITUTION: In a rear wheel drive vehicle wherein front wheels 1L and 1R are a driven wheel and rear wheel 2L and 2R are a drive wheel, a lateral G sensor 14 and a steering angle sensor 15 are provided to input a lateral G value Yg and a front wheel steering angle θf to a CPU 11. The CPU 11 executes a given control program and sets a correction amount based on a target slip amount used for control of reduction of a drive force. Acceleration during turning is improved through traction control based on the target slip amount in which an additional correction amount is included.
