Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate measurement of the solid-state image-pickup element, to reduce the time required for the measurement and to enhance the measurement accuracy.
SOLUTION: The solid-state image-pickup element 1 is operated by using different operating conditions for odd fields and even fields, and its output is taken out. For example, supply of a read pulse &phiv SG2 in the odd fields or the even fields is stopped to conduct the detection of a dark signal and detection of a reproduction signal under, e.g. a light shield state or a prescribed light incident state simultaneously. Thus, not only is the characteristic under a plurality of conditions measured simultaneously but also other characteristics such as the characteristic of a dark current in, e.g. an image-pickup area is measured by applying an arithmetic processing to the outputs of the odd fields and the even fields.
