PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive transmission device and an image forming apparatus using the same capable of surely receiving a detachable unit without any damage even when a large inertia force is applied to a body side drive output shaft, when the detachable unit is mounted on the image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A drive transmission device comprises: a driving source 480; a body side drive output shaft 281 for transmitting a driving force of the driving source to a body 210 to be driven; a bearing member 286 for supporting rotation of the body side drive output shaft; and a side plate 11 provided with a bearing support part 20 for supporting the bearing member. In the drive transmission device, the bearing support part has a cylindrical part 21 extending along at least a part of an outer periphery of the bearing member and a bottom part 22 arranged at an end part of the cylindrical part so as to restrict movement of the body side drive output shaft in its axial direction, the bearing member is a rolling bearing, and an inner ring of the rolling bearing is not brought into contact with a bottom part of the bearing support part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
