The drive unit for a sports car has a mounting (18) on the front of the engine (11) and on the center line (E-E) of the car which fits into a corresponding seating (19) on the chassis (5). Two additional mountings (22, 23) at the opposite end of the unit and on either side of the center line fit into additional seatings (24, 25)
