Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain an optimum seated position of a driver relative to a seat portion by solving the problem in that if a driver retracts his or her foot from an operated position of an accelerator pedal or brake pedal while holding the position for monitoring ahead after correcting the position of his or her upper body and gripping a steering wheel correctly during automatic control for controlled drive in a vehicle automated when the controlled drive is appropriate, his or her knees float from his or her seat, with the result that the optimum seated position of the driver relative to the seat portion is disturbed.SOLUTION: While controlled drive is being automated, a seat portion is inclined such that the front edge thereof is raised around the rear edge thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
