Title:
DRIVER'S DROWSING ALARM DEVICE USING AIRTIGHT-TYPE SOUND SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3495982
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driver's drowsing alarm device that is cheap, easy to wear and non-operative when a driver does not drive a vehicle.
SOLUTION: An airtight-type sound sensor 8 is installed to a driver's seat to pick up signals expressing a driver's motion so that a sustainable time for signals not to reach a certain level can be detected. At the same time, a signal that is generated by a vehicle only when it is running is caught by another vehicle. Both signals are compared using an arithmetic circuit. Only when both signals coexist and any specific inclination appears in the sustainable time expressing signals of a driver's body motion, the device generates an alarm sound.
