To provide a driving apparatus for a stone mill to rotate and drive a manual rotation type stone mill by power.
The driving apparatus (1) for a stone mill is used to rotate and drive a manual rotation type stone mill (M) and is equipped with: a holding means (2) fixed as detachable to the upper mill (M1) of a stone mill to hold the upper mill; a driving means (4) to rotate and drive the holding means; and a material supplying means (6) to supply the material to be milled in the stone mill to the grain supply hole (M3) of the stone mill. The material supplying means has a feeding means (16) to feed the material from a discharging part and a funnel means (18) to introduce the fed material from the discharging part into a grain supplying hole and to be rotated with the upper mill. The funnel means is constituted in such a manner that its upper opening surrounds the rotation axial line of the upper mill, while the discharging part is disposed as deviated from the rotation axial line and facing to the opening.
