Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make the driving axle mechanism of a mobile carriage compact and reduce the outside dimensions of the whole of the mobile carriage equipped with the aforesaid driving axle mechanism by concentrically arranging an iron wheel and a roller. CONSTITUTION:A reversing and set-up planetary gear train 60 is provided between an iron wheel 20 and a roller 30 arranged concentrically. The transmission of a truck is set to a forward position and the first rear wheels 11 are turned forward (i.e. normal direction). In this case, the torque of the roller 30 while being increased via the aforesaid gear train 60 is transmitted to the iron wheel 20 in a reverse direction (i.e. direction opposite to turn of roller 30). Sun gears 65 at the right and left sides of the gear train 60 are connected to each other via a through-shaft 66, thereby enabling the application of what is called differential lock to the differential gear of the truck. As a result, even when one of the first right or left rear wheels 11 is slipping, it is possible to transmit a driving force to the roller 30.
