Abstract:
To provide a driving characteristic estimation method and a driving characteristic estimation device for appropriately determining whether or not a vehicle other than an own vehicle corresponds to the vehicle which tends to give way.SOLUTION: A driving characteristic estimation method and a driving characteristic estimation device determine whether or not a stop line exists between another vehicle in the periphery of an own vehicle and an entrance area in front of the other vehicle to which the other vehicle can enter from a lateral side of a road, and sets an index value indicating easiness of entrance of the own vehicle to a front side of the other vehicle with respect to the other vehicle based on a behavior of the other vehicle before passing an entrance area when the stop line does not exist.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
