Abstract:
To provide a drive unit which can suppress the shortage of the lubrication of a bearing even at a start in an extremely-low temperature environment, and its control method.SOLUTION: A drive unit has a motor, a transmission device including a reduction gear, a housing, an electric oil pump, and a control part having a motor control part and an electric oil pump control part. The electric oil pump control part has: control mode switching means for performing a normal control mode for changing an output of the electric oil pump to a plurality of stages by a temperature of a stator or a rotor in oil supply processing, and a start-time mode for operating the electric oil pump for a prescribed time at a maximum output at the normal control mode at a start of a power supply by switching them; and pump drive means for operating the electric oil pump.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
