PURPOSE: To adjust the exposure time of an image sensor over a wide range without using any high-speed circuit.

CONSTITUTION: This driving device for image sensor stores charges corresponding to a subject during exposure time (Texp) and reads signals corresponding to the stored charges with read pulses (b, c), a first term (Texp) for deciding the exposure time and a second term (Tread) for reading the signals are independently provided, and the read pulses (b, c) at different frequencies are supplied to the image sensor during the first term (Texp) and the second term (Tread).
