To provide a driving device capable of downsizing the whole shape obtained by assembling driven members, driving a driven member having a curved surface such as a square bar body and round bar body, and reducing the number of a support member.
A driving device 1 comprises: an elastic body ring 2 which has a circular shape or regular 2n-polygon shape (n is a natural number) in plan view, and has an opening 2e; first driving elements 4 to 7 which are arranged on an upper face 2a of the elastic body ring 2, and excite flexural vibration in the axial direction; second driving elements 8 to 11 which are arranged on a peripheral side face 2c of the elastic body ring 2, and excite flexural vibration in the radial direction. The driving device 1 has a configuration in which: adjacent regions of regions obtained by dividing the elastic body ring 2 into 2n in the circumferential direction are displaced in the reverse direction alternately; and flexural vibration in a n wavelength flexural mode is excited in the elastic body ring 2 by applying voltage having phase difference of ±90 degrees to the first driving elements 4 to 7 and second driving elements 8 to 11, where a resonance frequency of the flexural vibration in the n wavelength flexural mode in the elastic body ring 2 is ω.
