Abstract:
A drive device comprising a drum 41, a pulley 6 that is rotatably supported in a position away from the drum 41, a cable 5 that spans between the drum 41 and the pulley 6, a drive unit 3 that rotatably drives the drum 41 to wind the cable 5 on the drum 41 or feed the cable 5 wound onto the drum 41, and a guide member 7 that restricts the direction of movement of the cable 5 between the drum 41 and the pulley 6. The guide member 7 has a sliding surface 71a that allows the cable 5 to slide, and a recess 71b that is provided in the sliding surface 71a and that is recessed in a direction intersecting the cable 5 sliding on the sliding surface 71a. With this drive device and a window glass lifting device comprising the drive device, sliding performance of the cable with respect to the guide member that restricts cable movement directionality can be improved.
