Abstract:
PURPOSE: To position an optical head, with high accuracy, easily and at low costs, in a position which corresponds to a lead-in region at the innermost circumference of an optical disk.
CONSTITUTION: A feed motor 8 is driven and an optical head 6 is moved to the circumference at a first speed via a deceleration mechanism 9. When the optical head 6 actuates a limit switch 21, the optical head 6 is moved at a second speed which is slower than the first speed, it is brought into contact with a bump part 26 in the central part 4a and it is stopped. Its stop position is decided in such a way that the spot position of a beams radiated to an optical disk 1 from the optical head 6 is situated in a lead-in region at the innermost circumference.
