Abstract:

To lower or avoid the uncomfortable collision or uncomfortable behavior due to the connection by transmitting the torque while transmitting a part of the torque through a torque converter in a first torque transmitting route, and transmitting a part of the torque through a lockup clutch in a second torque transmitting route.

A control unit 123 judges the operating condition of a vehicle or a driving unit on the basis of the signal 124 from a sensor, and performs control while using a hydraulic block 122. The control unit supplies the pressure medium to a pressure chamber 150 and/or a pressure chamber 151 so as to engage a lockup clutch 120, or adjusts the torque capable of being transmitted by the lockup clutch 102. The lockup clutch 102 is engaged freely to be slid by an engine driven when the vehicle is braked, and the torque is transmitted through a torque converter in a first torque transmitting route, and the torque is transmitted through a lockup clutch 102 in a second transmitting route.
