Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify, facilitate and ascertain assembling of boots by installing a ring-like collar which has an inner profile substantially equal to an outer form of a female spline, and fixing the boots end.
CONSTITUTION: A ring-like collar 1 to be used has an inner profile 1a corresponding to an outer form of a female spline and an outer profile having a circular recession 1b. The collar 1 is installed on an end of a female spline 2 prepared by press-molding a hollow pipe. Afterward, it is fixed to the end of the female spline 2 by caulking for widening the end of the female spline 2. A boots end is fixed to the annular recession on an outer periphery of the ring-like collar 1 by a fastening means from the outside.
