Abstract:
To guide a retreat operation of an own vehicle that facilitates smooth running of an emergency vehicle in a driving assist device, a method, and a program.SOLUTION: A driving support device 10 which supports a retreat operation of own vehicle 8 with respect to an emergency vehicle 9 is provided with a first detection unit 1, a second detection unit 2, a determination unit 3, and a notification unit 4. The first detection unit 1 detects a position of a road and a lane on which the own vehicle 8 is traveling. The second detection unit 2 detects a traveling route of the emergency vehicle 9. The determination unit 3 determines whether a direction in which the own vehicle 8 should be evacuated is a left direction or a right direction based on the lane position of the own vehicle 8 and the traveling route of the emergency vehicle 9. The notification unit 4 notifies an occupant of the direction determined by the determination unit 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
