Abstract:
To provide a drive assistance device which can properly guide expansion or contraction of a driver's a view field.SOLUTION: A drive assistance device includes: an environment recognition unit 100 for recognizing an environment around a vehicle 1; traveling state recognition units 310, 320, 330 for recognizing a traveling state of the vehicle; a gaze region setting unit 200 for setting a gaze region which should be closely observed by a driver of the vehicle on the basis of outputs of the environment recognition unit and the traveling state recognition unit; and an image display device 210 which displays a gaze region index indicating the gaze region in a superimposing manner within a range of a view field in which the driver can see ahead of the vehicle. The gaze region index is configured such that an interval between a plurality of indices 510, 520 aligned in a vehicle width direction is changed according to change in the size of the gaze region in the vehicle width direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
